It gives me great pleasure to welcome the first formal batch of students to SMC Media School. It will be interesting for students to know that when our institute started way back in 1924 (in Lahore), it started by imparting education in Music. The Founder, Late Shri Bansilal Kapoor was a student of Pt. Maniramji of Mewati Gharana. Under his tutelage, the Saraswati Music College produced some of the brightest musicians like Padma Vibhushan Pt. Jasraj, Music Director O.P. Nayyar, Playback Singers Mohd. Rafi, Sulakshana Pandit, Anamika and many more.

SMC has grown both in size and its area of operations since.

In present day and age, when every walk of life, including arts, has embraced technology, my wish would be to see our students have a perfect blend of tradition and technology.

Here, at SMC campus, we have state-of-the-art infrastructure, from an ultra-modern Audio recording Studio, to a very well equipped Shooting Floor, from spacious classrooms to a highly capable and experienced faculty, which should aid our students fulfill their aspirations.
